How NB Crafts & Sweetz was born
Before launching NB Crafts & Sweetz — a Surrey-based business specialising in personalised gifts and handmade hampers — I spent years working demanding shifts as a waitress at my local international airport. My schedule varied from 4am starts to midnight finishes, leaving me with little time or even no time to spend with my children. After my divorce, caring for them alone became even more challenging, and the emotional toll of working long hours on minimal sleep eventually caught up with me. I knew something had to change. That’s when I made the bold decision to resign and start exploring work-from-home opportunities. But then a question shifted everything: Why build someone else’s dream when I could build my own? With that leap of faith, NB Crafts & Sweetz was born — a small business rooted in creativity, love, and the dream of building a better life for my children. What started as a vision is now a growing reality. From showcasing our handcrafted luxury hampers and personalised frames at local markets to launching our online gift shop, we’ve made it easier for customers across the UK to discover heartfelt gifting options from the comfort of their homes. Just recently, we celebrated a milestone: our first major order of sixty bespoke return gift hamper for a birthday, placed directly through WhatsApp!
